McCorkell is extremely proud of the exciting, up and coming talent we have in our offices and to recognise their hard work and value to the agency, we have launched our Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) to nurture nine of our talented staff.
The McCorkell Emerging Leaders Program will focus on career and learning development, and offer participants access to mentors and industry experts. The ELP teamwill be coached in strategic thinking, project management, and of course, leadership.
They will also have the opportunity to attend suitable external events and training sessions, and recently attended the Festival of Dangerous Ideas.
The ELP team was chosen through a submission process in which they proposed programs that aligned directly to McCorkell’s integrated methodology that could be implemented to address agency goals.
We are so excited to be running this inaugural program for the future of our staff, agency and the marketing industry. Meet the Emerging Leaders of McCorkell below!

What attracted you to the program?
When McCorkell announced the Emerging Leadership Program I saw it as a great opportunity to benchmark my career. I saw the program to be a great advantage to anyone who wanted to accelerate their own personal development. I thought to apply as I really wanted that chance to focus on improving skillsets that I had learnt at McCorkell and becoming more present and confident in the corporate world.
What are you most looking forward to as part of the program?
I guess I’m looking forward to collaborating with a team that shares similar aspirations to mine, I’m sure there will be interesting people to meet along the way as well. I’m hoping I’ll also have an opportunity to engage with and present to McCorkell throughout the program.

What are you most looking forward to as part of the program?
I always see myself as problem solving type. It would be really exciting to have all these brilliant minds of the ELP members brainstorming about strategic plans for an actual proposition.

What attracted you to the program?
I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to explore what I am actually capable of, and utilise my experience and education I have gained and received both in Japan and Australia to the maximum, in addition to being able to work outside of the Contact Centre as it is extremely challenging for most foreigners, especially from non-English speaking countries, with very limited work experience in Australia like myself to prove what we can really do.
What are you most looking forward to as part of the program?
I am very much looking forward to learning about all things marketing, technology and the areas McCorkell specialise in, and working with people from different departments.

What attracted you to the program?
As this is the inaugural program, it is exciting to be a part of what I assume is a very important aspect of the company’s future, and help contribute to its growth.
What are you most looking forward to as part of the program?
The learning and upskilling opportunities. To be exposed to aspects of the industry that I may not naturally encounter in day-to-day work.
Alexandra Stewart
What attracted you to the program?
To be part of an organisation that does this for their staff is certainly something to be apart of. The fact that McCorkell are willing into implement this program and invest in their own staff is beyond amazing. To work with 9 other peers, who I may not necessarily work with in my day to day job. I’m sure I’ll learn off everyone.
What are you most looking forward to as part of the program?
Learning from my peers, absorbing everything McCorkell (The leadership team) can teach me. Thinking outside the box and working scenarios, situations, solutions for McCorkell is quite exciting.

This will also be a good platform to engage with other divisions within McCorkell and understand their functions and areas of growth. It also assists me in developing my career path through managing and developing my strategic thinking, focus and decision making capabilities.
